The European Freeski Open LAAX provides an international competition platform for freeskiers from all over the world. Due to the open format, all the riders with enough talent and courage are allowed to compete in the contest: a unique opportunity for freeski newcomers to compete with the world’s best riders! Since its first edition in 2006, the event is considered as pioneering and offers a contest platform on world-class level. 120 starting spots for the men’s slopestyle contest are available for ambitious freeskiers. The top 12 riders will qualify for the semi-finals, facing the 20 invited pro riders. The 20 women registered for the open spots will start the competition with the semi-finals where the 6 invited pro riders are waiting to be challenged. At the finals, 5 women and 10 men fight for the titles as well as important points for the overall ranking: The European Freeski Open LAAX is categorized as a Golden Event of the Association of Freeskiing Professionals (AFP). Live music acts and parties round off the event making it an exciting lifestyle experience.
